My NYE Look
So are we all ready to give the auld booze the boot? Have you promised yourself you’re going dry for the whole month of January? It’s funny how we actually almost believe ourselves. No doubt we all have one friend who’s birthday is in January or a party you totally forgot you commited to. So 90% of us will not last the month of January without touching drop FACT.
So normally I am not too pushed about New Year’s, it’s a funny night out actually, it can be either messy/mobbed or dead. I think a lot of people stay at home or go to house parties. So it was a last minute decision to go club 92 in leopards town , 60 quid in and a free bar all night ”Oh that will do” I said. We had a really good night and danced our asses off until were asked kindly by the bouncers to leave. We finsihed the night by frantically flagging down every taxi that passed us by and walking for miles, and finally we got a taxi and I swear it was King Nidges Father! Such a funny night and was so worth it.
“Lady in red” I decided to go for retro 60’s glam for New Year’s Eve. I had full intentions of whipping out the backcombing brush and teasing my hair to an inch of it’s life to achieve that ultra 60’s beehive. Oh and of course, I ran out of time STANDARD. I was running late so I settled with subtle waves “Sher you can never go wrong with waves “My dress is from Zara, my shoes are New Look and my clutch is from Penny’s.
This is the only up close pic I had from last night of my makeup. I was rushing all evening and didn’t get a chance to take clearer non drunkie pic.The makeup I used to create this look are the following, No7 concealer in Deeply beige , Blush Pore Perfecting Primer, Estee Lauder Double Wear in DAWN, L’Oreal Bronzer in GLAM BRONZE, Blush liquid lipstick in UNCORKED, Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner in Black, Maybelline great lash mascara in black. Benefit Watt’s up highlighter, Rimmel eye shadow mixed with MAC in Folie, MAC eyeliner in Black, 100% human Hair redcherry eyelashes.
Ok so my mam got me a little goodie bag for Christmas from Blush makeup which was made up by So Sue Me http://sosueme.ie/ . This little goodie bag was the gift that just kept giving. The redcherry lashes were amazing they were very soft and light weight, I basically didn’t feel them on all night, like you would with some other false eyelashes. The primer is probably the best primer I have used in a long time, its lightweight, intensely moisturising and it rests beautifully under your foundation. The liquid lipstick in uncorked, where have you been all my life? This is amazing I love and it. It glides on like a dream and sounds weird but again very comfortable not annoying or sticky. Also it gives the illusion of much bigger lips and let’s face it who wouldn’t want bigger luscious lips. The highlighter is pretty good too, I myself am not a big fan of liquid highlighter but this was easy to apply and gives a nice under stated glow. All in all I was pretty impressed with all the Blush products. All products are available from Blush makeup Showgrounds Clonmel Co. Tipperary or online at http://www.blush.ie/.
